Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to join our dynamic clinic team at Agile Occupational Medicine. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service over the phone while assisting with a variety of administrative and support tasks. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient clinic operations by managing patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and handling patient information accurately. As a patient-facing team member, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and customer service. You will perform your administrative front office tasks to ensure a professional and positive clinic experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Answer inbound calls, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments in a timely and courteous manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments for patients, ensuring optimal clinic flow and patient satisfaction.
- Patient Registration: Verify patient information, update records, and ensure accuracy in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Insurance Verification: Assist with verifying insurance information and ensuring proper documentation is collected for billing purposes.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient intake forms, provide patients with necessary paperwork, and facilitate communication between clinical and administrative teams.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide a friendly and professional environment for patients, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality regulations to protect patient privacy and sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (e.g., in Health Administration, Business, or a related field).
- Bilingual Spanish
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related customer service role or a call center environment is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skill
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to problem-solve
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and patient confidentiality
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical office administration is a plus
