We are currently hiring for a Safety and Process Improvement Expert. In this role you will lead routine activities related to safety, quality and productivity improvement, including process safety, environmental impact and the plant reliability.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead the initiatives on process improvement with weekly meetings and being present to lead and support all shifts by maintaining a flexible schedule and meeting with team members of each shift at least once per week.
• Works closely with technical Groups (Safety, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Production) to research and test process improvements.
• Provides clear, relevant and accurate daily, weekly or monthly reports and executive summaries as required to communicate and drive compliance and continuous improvement on safety, quality and productivity performances.
• Manages capital projects related to process and quality improvements, process safety, environmental impact and reliability.
• Provide technical education, training and instructions to production staff to ensure that operators have good working and knowledge skills.
• Work with Plant Manager, Production Supervisor and Quality Supervisor to assist in maintaining the compliance program in place, such as Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC) and Job Safety Analysis programs.
• Be the point of contact with Governmental departments to comply on the legal requirements and obtain all the operational licenses for the site operations.
  
  

Position level and Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Salary $101,900-$127,440

You bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering required.
• Post graduation in Safety Engineering or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Improvement with proven results in safety, quality and productivity in Chemical, Food, or Pharmaceutical related manufacturing facilities.
• Familiar with root cause and risk assessment methodologies
• Green Belt / Black Belt / Six Sigma Certifications will be a plus.
