Agincourt Capital Management, LLC is an SEC-registered investment adviser located in Richmond, Virginia. The firm manages investment-grade fixed income portfolios for institutional clients, with over $9 billion in assets under management. Most of the firm’s assignments are total return-oriented and are benchmarked to broad indexes. Client relations is a key component of our success, and we believe that timely and informative communications is critical when managing funds for institutional clients. This is a position that requires skills and experience with both portfolio management and client communications.
Essential Function
- Responsible for being one of the firm’s primary “outside” portfolio managers, working closely with the Marketing Director to meet with clients, consultants, and prospective clients;
- Perform portfolio management/research functions, with an intimate knowledge of current forces impacting bond prices;
- Responsible for co-authoring the firm’s outgoing correspondence to clients and other interested parties, including quarterly performance updates and periodic “big picture” discussions;
- Heavily involved with the investment team’s discussions on macro factors—Fed policy, inflation, supply/demand, and international/political topics;
- Maintain databases of economic and business cycle statistics which impact the fixed income markets and recommend changes to portfolio management team accordingly; and
- Assist in assuring that outgoing marketing materials are up to date with timely economic and portfolio data.
Qualifications
- University degree (preferably in business or finance/accounting)
- MBA and/or CFA
- 5 years of “hands-on” portfolio management experience working with institutional clients
- Proven track record of adding value to client portfolios in a relative value framework
- Familiarity with fixed income analytic packages (Yield Book, Bloomberg PORT) and portfolio management software (INDATA, Charles River)
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
