Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting engineering projects by performing technical tasks, assisting in the development of maintenance programs, and ensuring that systems operate efficiently. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge, as well as proficiency in various technical skills. This position will be work Monday-Friday on Hill AFB, Utah.
Duties
- Analyze aircraft data and component deficiencies affecting the different military weapon systems and perform in depth analysis of identified anomalies.
- Maintain and interpret aircraft technical data.
- Investigates complex maintenance processes, equipment, troubleshooting procedures, technical data and reliability and maintainability shortfalls.
- Performs data analysis.
- Writes reports summarizing findings from data analysis and investigative findings.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot logic controllers and other electronic systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop project plans and timelines.
- Utilize math skills to perform calculations necessary for maintenance and testing processes.
- Document processes, results, and modifications accurately for future reference.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience working with military weapons systems, interfacing with engineering functions and solving engineering and maintenance challenges
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Computer savvy. Ability to learn new computer systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software for design purposes is a plus.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to resolve technical issues.
- Solid math skills for calculations related to engineering tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
