JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Payroll Specialist
REPORTS TO: Payroll Director
- BASIC PURPOSE
The payroll specialist is primarily responsible for processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay in the agency electronic medical record system (HHAeXchange) and the payroll processing system.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes payroll for 1500 employees at Aging with Comfort
- Reports to Supervisor regarding any issues with daily activities.
- Addresses and resolves employee complaints relating to the payroll system and individual payroll issues that can easily be resolved.
- Works with Aging with Comfort database and software in order to process payroll, seeing that all data is pulled forward from direct care workers for pay so that it ties to billing data.
- Prepares reports to relevant departments about payroll and related Aging With Comfort budget and expense reports.

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (See Attached Physical Requirements Form)
- Able to operate basic office equipment (copier, fax, computer, telephone)
- Ability to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time to perform the essential responsibilities of the position.
- Ability to work full-time, on-site at our Jenkintown, PA corporate office.
- QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background
- Minimum two to three years in payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
- Understanding of the common fiscal procedures
- Knowledge of tax and wage laws
- experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred
Other Requirements
a. Possesses valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with reliable transportation insured in accordance with Pennsylvania state laws and regulations.
b. Has satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
c. Possesses satisfactory criminal background check.
