Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Medical Operations Manager/Senior Manager to join our growing Global Medical Affairs team. We want someone who cares about this important work, and who’s driven to connect to our mission of helping these patient communities. The Medical Operations Manager/Senior Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Medical Directors in the execution of key medical functions, including Medical Education Grant Management, Advisory Board (Ad Board) coordination, Healthcare Professional (HCP) contracts, and ex-US sponsorship management. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Procurement, ensuring seamless and efficient execution of medical initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in navigating complex processes and systems, such as iCertis, Oracle, and Envision.
What you will do:
- Support Medical Directors in the administration of medical education grants, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of Advisory Board meetings, including logistics, invitations, scheduling, Compliance requirements, and preparation of materials.
- Support ex-US sponsorships and collaborations, including managing logistical and administrative details.
- Support the preparation, review, and execution of HCP contracts, working closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all contracts adhere to internal and external regulatory guidelines.
- Liaise with external vendors and educational providers to ensure successful execution of educational initiatives and budget reconciliation upon event completion.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, including Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external vendors, to ensure smooth and efficient execution of medical operations.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry preferably in Medical Operations or Medical Affairs
- Experience with iCertis, Envision, or similar systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to HCP interactions, contracts, and medical education.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Location:
Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on employee's individual preference. This role has the ability to be either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/ meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be required for certain company events commensurate to the above job description.
