Summary
The Marketing Content Director will develop a vision for the way Agital positions and presents itself both internally and externally. This role will lead all digital content channels (email, social, paid, events, partnerships) and handle the development of all long and short-form content inclusive of ebooks, whitepapers, webinars, blog posts, sell sheets, case studies, and website copy. This person will author a big chunk of this content and direct supporting resources to develop it in accordance with Agital’s tone and brand guidelines.
The person will also be responsible for developing, executing, and reporting on digital communications programs such as lifecycle email campaigns, client & prospect newsletters, webinar invitations, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of Agital’s target audience and each of its segments
- Use this knowledge to develop a comprehensive content calendar by channel (email, web, display, social, paid publications, etc.) and by audience segment.
- Create the processes required to implement the content calendar proactively, on time, and on budget.
- Create & curate all marketing assets in accordance with Agital’s tone, value proposition, and brand guidelines (assets include case studies, ebooks, webinars, emails, display ads, videos, PPT decks, sell sheets, and more)
- Create a sophisticated email program for Agital’s clients and prospects, compete with lifecycle flows including Welcome, Activation, Reactivation, Thank You for Downloading, Surveys, and more.
- Create consistent client experiences through Agital’s website, email program, social channels, and programmatic advertising.
- Act as the primary driver for all digital programs—including retention, acquisition, partner, and loyalty—with the goal of generating sales.
- Proactively measure campaign metrics and test content & messaging to improve performance across all channels.
- Create an annual calendar for client campaigns targeting specific client segments based on Agital’s new product/feature releases, industry changes, and relevant energy moments (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Memorial Day, etc.)
- Develop value proposition, structure, and assets (sell sheets, Q&As) for Agital’s partner program and serve as its primary manager.
- Develop an awards calendar with due dates, requirements, and award categories and proactively work on entries throughout the year, in collaboration with the Account team.
- Develop a speaker proposal submission calendar for key events with due dates, requirements, and proposal topics, and proactively work on entries throughout the year, in collaboration with the Sales & Account teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Outstanding copywriting abilities and at least 5 years of content development experience spanning short and long-form content including blogs, case studies, whitepapers, emails, digital ads, social, sell sheets, and more
- Exceptional storytelling, verbal, and written communication skills
- 7 years of experience in digital marketing and/or messaging strategy and execution.
- Strong organization and planning skills – ability to control workload and meet deadlines while juggling priorities for efficiency and productivity
- Flexibility, openness to feedback, and eagerness to learn new skills and approaches
- Great attention to detail and passion for establishing efficient processes
- Curiosity and drive to master branding strategies and create content that converts to sales
- Ability to wear multiple hats and function well on a small, nimble, proactive team
- Strong understanding of segmentation, audience targeting and personalization in online marketing channels
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar website analytics tool is a PLUS
- Understanding of Marketing Automation Platforms, ESPs, and Content Management Systems like Wordpress
- Understanding of digital advertising platforms including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, and emerging platforms
- Experience in programmatic advertising, project management, and partner strategy is a HUGE PLUS
