Job Title : Junior Swim Coach
Location : The I'on Club, Mount Pleasant
Employment Type : Seasonal (Summer)
Reports To : Head Swim Coach / Aquatics Director
Job Summary :
The I'on Club is looking for an energetic and responsible Junior Swim Coach to assist with our summer swim team for children ages 5-13 . This role is ideal for current or former competitive swimmers who are passionate about working with kids and developing their skills in a fun and structured environment. The Junior Coach will work closely with the Head Swim Coach to lead practices, provide swimmer feedback, and support meet operations.
Requirements :
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in planning and leading daily swim practices under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Work one-on-one with swimmers to improve stroke technique, starts, and turns.
- Help organize and manage swim meets, including timing, entries, and warm-ups.
- Encourage and motivate swimmers while promoting a positive and team-oriented atmosphere.
- Provide hands-on instruction for younger and beginner-level swimmers.
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers by following pool rules and safety guidelines.
- Assist in organizing team-building activities and social events.
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff.
