Industrial Maintenance Technician - Nightshift

Qualifications Desired:

Candidate must have a Technical Degree or 2 to 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance environment and have practical skills and knowledge in the following essential functions:

Essential Functions and Abilities:

1. Industrial Electricity –AC/DC motor controls, switch gears, inverters, PLC controllers, ladder logic and programming, control circuits and devices, use of test equipment.
2. Blueprint reading – understand, comprehend, fabricate
3. Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots and programmable controllers (PLCs)
4. Welding/Cutting -- stick, mig, torch, shield, arc, oxy acetylene, plasma – Not required but a plus
5. Shop skills --layout, drilling, and taping, lathe, milling, bandsaw, circular saws, small hand tools
6. Instrument Use – micrometer, calipers, ruler/scale taper gauges…etc.
7. Basic Machine Principles –threads and fasteners, tolerance and fit, materials, lubricants,
8. Millwright –chains, sprockets, bearings and pneumatics.
9. Electrician skills – mounting hardware, installing conduit, pulling wires, and connections.
10. Diagnostic skills – ability to logically find root cause of machine failures using electrical and mechanical trouble shooting techniques and efficient methods
11. Interpersonal skills – communications, employee involvement, and problem solving are a must
12. Knowledge of TPM – Total Productive Maintenance procedure desire.

Primary Duties:

1. Repair and maintain industrial equipment repair or replace malfunctioning production or processing equipment
2. Perform regular inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment complete work orders with detailed documentation of results utilizing CMMS system
3. Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots and programmable controllers (PLCs)
4. Troubleshooting and recovery of automation systems

   Support operations personnel in equipment sequence of operations and Lock Out / Tag Out

1. Order and install replacement parts when necessary
2. Shut down and disassemble machinery as needed
3. Assist in root cause identification with detailed factual communication of failures and suggestions
4. Work with plant reliability engineers for process performance improvement
5. Ensure that all production – related equipment in the plant is maintained in a state of repair, in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness with proper uptime, yields and throughput.

10.Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals

11.Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example

12.All other duties as assigned

Wage Range: $31.25-$34.08

The Salary Range posted represents Pilkington North America’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of the posting.   Individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, etc.
