- Works with the Supply Chain Manager & Category Directors to define and implement the appropriate quality control programs and strategy for the company’s operations
- Work in conjunction with Category Directors, Grower Relations Managers, field team members and facility team members to investigate, document and resolve quality issues
- Evaluates current company quality control processes and develops plans alongside HGOF team members to eliminate holes in the existing systems or overhaul and implement new processes where feasible
- Operates as a key communication link between sales and field operations regarding product quality and condition and proactively engages with sales and field operations to handle quality issues and rotate inventory in the most efficient manner
- Responsible for assuring quality and pack of finished product meets HGOF specifications
- Generate detailed reports on quality and condition of product using technological tools including temperatures to ensure cold chain integrity
- Analyze and monitor outstanding orders for lot compliance and quality concerns using FAMOUS software
- Provide Inventory of materials owned by HGOF at Facilities as needed
- Provide assistance in implementing HGOF’s Food Safety Program and identify and resolve unsafe situations
- Provide a high level of customer service and sales orientation to buyers and their team members that arrive on site desiring to evaluate HGOF product available for sale
- Participate in all necessary research and testing required for the quality assurance department
