What The Role Delivers
The Lab Manager, Analytical and Residue Chemistry, leads the Spring House lab and is accountable for laboratory operations and managing all laboratory staff. The Lab Manager is responsible for analytical programs and studies for new products and expansions of the existing portfolio, from proof of concept, through product development and through commercialization. This individual provides technical expertise and direction in support of existing products and uses throughout the organization, including support to Regulatory Affairs, Formulations, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. The Lab Manager is the in-house expert on analytical methodologies, equipment, product and residue chemistry and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and associated certifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead analytical and residue chemistry work at global laboratories, including management of analytical laboratories at the SHIP facility in the USA
- Lead, coach and develop the chemistry team to build a high performing, engaged team
- Develop and validate state-of-the art analytical methods and ensure technology transfer
- Maintain GLP and ISO certifications at the SHIP facility in support of in-house regulatory studies
- Conduct regulatory studies in the areas of product and residue chemistry
- Ensure effective design and execution of such studies being conducted in regional laboratories and through Contract Research Organizations (CROs)
- Provide technical support and expertise to regional laboratories
- Generate non-GLP data in support of innovation and product support efforts
- Generate and maintain annual budgets, infrastructure and equipment within designated laboratories

- PhD in chemistry with emphasis in analytical technology
- Deep knowledge of analytical methods and equipment, including method development and validation
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the conduct of regulatory studies in support of registration of agricultural or pharmaceutical products
- Experience managing GLP-certified studies and laboratories, preferable in the areas of product and residue chemistry
- Track record of contribution to new product development in cross- functional teams
