Commitment to producing high quality nutritious products and providing nourishment around the world What this role is all about: We are looking for a Packager in Le Sueur, Minnesota. The packager is responsible for properly packaging, sealing and stacking product according to customer specifications and adhering to safety, quality and production policies and requirements. The packager understands the procedures and duties to be completed during a full CIP on both Drying systems. This position has a basic knowledge of the mixing process, assisting and taking direction from Mixers during certain production runs as needed. Working 12 hour shifts - 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (working every other weekend) Double time on Sundays $1.50/hour night shift differential for hours worked between 7 pm and 7 am. What you need: Bag product in 55-pound bags, 40-pound boxes; pushing/pulling product weighing up to 170 pounds. Load bags or boxes to the dryer. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work. Take samples of powder. Weigh the product and adjust the product levels to match the exact weight. Move pallets in and out of rooms using a pallet lift jack. Use metal detector to scan product. Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a clean work environment to meet Good Manufacturing Practices. Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of cleaning requirements throughout the plant and adhere to the Master Sanitation Schedule. Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of duties and responsibilities during a full system CIP on both drying systems. Dump bags/totes of dry material and paste into the blending process. Packages vary in size. Follow direction from Mixing Operator. Assist in pre-staging material for blending. Where you’ll be working: Our presence in Le Sueur, MN, consists of the following locations: Le Sueur Cheese, Le Sueur Ingredients, Le Sueur Protein Research Center, and Le Sueur Business Office. Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, Monterey Jack, Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan and Romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
