AGS has an opening for a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer.
Responsibilities :
- Assisting Senior Engineers with geotechnical calculations for liquefaction, slope stability, settlement, seismic analysis, and soil-structure interaction utilizing various software such as Slide, LPile, AllPile, CLIQ, DeepSoil, FLAC, etc.
- Assisting Senior Engineers with geotechnical study report, proposals, RFI and submittals.
- Reviewing construction documents such as plans and specifications.
- Participate in pile testing observation on job sites.
- Communicate with clients including project managers, government regulators, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS
Typical tasks include performing geotechnical engineering calculations, fieldwork, preparation of geotechnical reports and proposals, and review and response to RFI and submittals. We seek flexible individuals who can comfortably perform a variety of tasks both in the field and in the office. The approximate office to field ratio is 95 : 05.
