AGS has an opening for a Staff Geotechnical Engineer.
Responsibilities :
- Assisting Senior Engineers with geotechnical calculations for liquefaction, slope stability, settlement, and seismic analysis utilizing various software such as Slide, LPile, AllPile, CLIQ, etc.
- Assisting Senior Engineers with geotechnical study report, proposals, RFI and submittals.
- Reviewing construction documents such as plans and specifications.
- Participate in field sampling and / or construction observation on job sites.
- Communicate with clients including project managers, government regulators, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS
Typical tasks include performing geotechnical engineering calculations, fieldwork, and preparation of geotechnical reports and proposals. We seek flexible individuals who can comfortably perform a variety of tasks both in the field and in the office. The approximate office to field ratio is 90 : 10.
