MAIN FUNCTIONS: The Packaging Operator is responsible for packing the domestic and export flours and other products to the most accurate weight and according to all the manufacturing procedures. Reporting to the Packaging Lead, the Packaging Operator is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned production equipment and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for meeting production shift goals.
- Responsible for using the proper type of packaging materials and ensuring the proper packaging labels are used.
- Communicate well with other coworkers, leads and supervisor.
- Responsible for following quality assurance standards and communicating any inconsistencies to the supervisor.
- Knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment. Examples include but not limited to baggers, palletizers, and wrappers.
- Responsible for following machines operating procedures and reporting all maintenance concerns.
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Follow proper sampling procedures
- Follow proper quality checks
- Maintain safe work environment while operating forklift
- Ensures compliance with AGT Foods safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Responsible for good housekeeping practices during each scheduled shift.
- Completion of Qualification Card/s for designated area and/or other job position/s that may be assigned.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Uphold a quality-conscious and food-safe culture. Have the ability to perform all above tasks in an environment in cold or hot temperatures.
- Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent
