Job Summary:
The Ag Parts Sales Associate will be responsible for selling agricultural parts and providing exceptional customer service to farmers and agribusinesses. This position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and ensuring they receive the correct parts for their equipment. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about agricultural machinery, parts, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and prospect for new customers within the agricultural community.
- Provide expert knowledge on agricultural parts, equipment, and machinery to help customers find the right solutions for their needs.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, quote parts, and close sales in a professional and efficient manner.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest product offerings and industry trends to advise customers on the best parts for their equipment.
- Recommend parts and services to improve customers' machinery performance and longevity.
- Accurately enter customer orders and ensure timely delivery of parts and products.
- Manage parts inventory, track backorders, and notify customers of any delays or special orders.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns regarding parts, delivery issues, or product quality in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment.
- Monitor competitor products and pricing to ensure competitive sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular updates on sales performance, forecasts, and customer feedback to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the agricultural industry or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery, parts, and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales management software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
