Job Title: Production Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor seed production machinery, including seed cleaning, conditioning, and packaging equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Inspect and verify the quality of seeds at various stages of production, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Document production data, including seed quantities, processing conditions, and any issues that arise during production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Perform quality control checks and assist with sampling and testing to ensure the final product meets specifications.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with team members and management to optimize production efficiency and address any challenges.
- Assist in the packaging, labeling, and storage of finished products, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Support inventory management by tracking raw materials and finished goods, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new production operators as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in manufacturing or production preferred.
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in seed processing or agriculture.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
- Attention to detail and ability to monitor production processes to ensure quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a production environment.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and moving parts.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on production schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
