AgTrust in a Nutshell
AgTrust Farm Credit helps farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, and rural homeowners achieve their dreams by providing reliable and consistent credit and financial services. We also help people in urban areas who aspire to find and purchase their ideal home in the country. We don't take deposits, and we don't finance other industries. Instead, we focus exclusively on the credit needs of rural America.
We are a full-service cooperative lender headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, specializing in financing rural land and agricultural operations. We have 19 office locations serving 81 counties in Texas and New Mexico, $2.9 billion in assets, and are a member of the nationwide Farm Credit System.
Life as a AgTrust Summer Intern
During the 9-week internship, our interns will receive valuable on-the-job training in agricultural lending and farm real estate processes by rotating through our various departments and work locations. Through guidance from a focused internship, our interns receive formal training and hands-on learning to support a future long-term career in the intern's field. Interns learn about AgTrust, Farm Credit System, the cooperative difference, and much more. Interns gain experience working in a collaborative, supportive environment where they can contribute independently and as part of a team to achieve the summer learning objectives.
Because our interns have already shown a passion for agriculture, they enhance their exposure by learning new things every day about the loan origination process, including credit analysis, customer interaction, appraisals, loan document preparation, company culture and linkage between departments. Interns leave the program with sharpened critical business skills like effective verbal and written communication, working successfully as an individual and as a team, and proper time management to meet project deadlines.
We are accepting 2025 Summer Intern applicants through Friday, January 17, 2025.
