Meat Service Clerk

Aguilar’s Meat Market of San Juan, Mission, and Harlingen is looking for team-oriented Meat Service Clerks who are willing to work hard and make our customers feel welcome. As a Meat Service Clerk, you are responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers. Will perform superior customer service, maintain clean and a well-stocked service counter, and cleaning of preparation area including storage vaults, supply area, coolers, and equipment set forth by management.

Requirements to apply

· Must be 16 years or older (Can work with school schedules)

· Customer service experience preferred (Company can train)

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Available weekday/weekend and AM/PM shifts

· Ability to perform all physical aspects of the meat department duties, squatting, reaching, twisting, lifting, and walking.

Job Duties as a Meat Service Clerk

· When a customer enters the meat department area, the first and most important responsibility is to acknowledge, greet, and engage with the customer.

· Assist the customer with their requests.

· Ability to work with equipment including, scales.

· Answer any questions on the products.

· Speak respectfully and professionally when engaging with customers.

· Follows daily work schedule as assigned by management.

· Follows dress code following associate handbook.

· Follows attendance and tardiness guidelines under the associate handbook.

Food Safety/Sanitation

· Maintains a clean Meat Department.

· Complies with Aguilar’s food safety and sanitation standards

· Complies with department store operating procedures and federal/state fresh meat regulations

Customer Service

· Provides excellent customer service

· Answers customer questions about the quality of meat, different size cuts, or if the customer wants a specialty cut that we may not have presented on the counter. (with training)
