Relationship Manager

AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. We are in search of a Relationship Manager l, ll, or lll to join our Credit Resolution department in Tulare, California. Candidates located near our Bakersfield, Templeton, or Tempe branch locations may be considered. This full-time position reports to the SVP, Credit Resolution and works with internal lenders and member-borrowers whose accounts need extra support, restructuring and/or collection.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position is:

Level I: $63,000 - $109,000; bonus at target is 12% of salary

Level II: $69,000 - $137,000; bonus at target is 15% of salary

Level III: $85,000 - $173,000; bonus at target is 20% of salary

Job Requirements

• Assist in the rehabilitation and collection of credits in the Credit Resolution portfolio of adversely graded loans and non-ledger assets in the most timely and cost-effective manner.
• Provide guidance to organization staff in dealing with deteriorating credits, drafting agreements and borrower written communications.
• Exercise credit risk assessment and management on loans within area of responsibility.
• Conduct and complete complex credit analysis while continuing to develop knowledge of credit and financing alternatives for both standard and complex credits.
• Develop and maintain a significant professional presence throughout the assigned territory.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Generally, requires at least three years' related experience
• Proven understanding of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, credit analysis, credit administration, monitoring and reporting
• Knowledge of credit and financing alternatives and borrower's rights
• Proven decision-making, negotiating and influencing skills
• Solid computer skills, including MS Office applications and financial analysis software
• Ability to travel to perform certain required duties

• Agricultural background
• Experience with agricultural credit
• Knowledge of AgWest policies and procedures
• Experience with AgWest products and services and how they are delivered
