POSITION OVERVIEW
The Revenue Manager will be responsible for maximizing overall hotel revenue and profit through development and implementation of effective revenue management strategies based on future demand forecasts, current trends, and historical data. Formulate and deploy transient/group inventory restrictions and pricing strategies, utilizing projection analysis and rate strategy analysis designed to maximize revenue and profit as well as grow market share. Determine the optimal mix of business and manage distribution strategies on all channels to achieve desired mix. Ensure data integrity in all revenue management systems. Manage group block activity and work with the sales and group rooms departments to effectively manage group inventory. Determine optimal oversell strategy and work with operations teams at multiple properties to ensure the strategy is carried out.
This position is a remote position but required to live in the West Michigan area as it will frequently need to be on-property for meetings or other various reasons
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Follow all AHC Handbook policies and standard operating procedures
-Manages guest room inventory of assigned hotels on a constant basis to maximize revenue opportunity
-Creates, communicates, and critiques weekly forecasts for multiple properties
-Maintains an excellent reputation in the eyes of the public, the owners, the management, guests and team members
-Develop annual budgets for multiple properties by working with group sales, finance, and property leadership
-Plans, Implements and monitors goals and objectives. Responsible for achievement of set financial and operational targets
-Works with the sales team to evaluate and maximize all group opportunities that fit certain criteria as defined by the Director of RM and VP of RM
-Ensures proper standard operating procedures are in place and skills training and knowledge tests are done to ensure high level of service
-Provides recommendations on transient rate strategy and implements and maintains all rates for all assigned hotels
-Assures overbooking situations are handled personally or through a delegated senior staff member.
-Masters usage of all systems each assigned hotel requires (i.e. R&I, OnQ, GRO, CI/TY, MARSHA, One Yield, SynXis, Passkey, Opera, StayNTouch, iHotelier, Delphi, Tripleseat, Lighthouse, etc.)
-Develops and maintains relationships with all required OTAs and ensures hotels stay in compliance with contractual obligations
-Utilize third party data sources (CoStar, Amadeus, etc) to benchmark hotel revenue performance, as appropriate
-Prepare and disseminate all daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by Director of RM
-Perform analysis to better understand the total revenue contribution and estimated acquisition costs from various distribution channels to help drive the most profitable market mix
-Develop analytical framework to evaluate success based upon incremental bookings/revenue generated vs. the promotional cost
-Organizing and leading weekly strategy meetings with key property stakeholders
-Completes all training required by brands and/or third-party partners within first 90 days
REQUIRED SKILLS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least two years of previous revenue management experience in a multi-property environment (or equivalent hospitality management experience)
- Previous knowledge of various revenue management systems preferred (i.e. MARSHA, OnQ, R&I, iDeas, GRO, One Yield v2, SynXis, Passkey, CI/TY, Delphi, Opera, etc.)
- Previous Marriott or Hilton experience preferred
