Revenue Manager
As a Reveunue Manager you would be responsible for leading pricing strategies to maximize all Suburban Inns hotel’s profitability by managing room rates and occupancy levels. Ensure that all group, banquet, and corporate business is providing the best overall net revenue for Suburban Inns. Utilize system tools provided by each franchise company to conduct market research, analyze data, and develop strategic goals. Meet with GM/AGM/Sales Team weekly or as appropriate.

Essential Functions
- Anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step further
- Develop, maintain, and administer a sound organizational plan; initiate improvements as necessary
- Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments in the field
- Coordinate development of operating budgets with VP of Finance and GM; monitor monthly budget and other financial statements; take effective corrective action as required to maximize and increase profitable revenue
- Maximize the hotels revenue on a daily basis
- Facilitate communication among all revenue, sales and operations team members to ensure all perspectives are considered and strategies understood
- Ensure data quality, accurate tracking, accuracy of rate loading and respective validity dates, and accuracy of group block maintenance
- Use revenue management tools to manage rate and inventory, i.e. GRS/N2Pricing, GRO, OneYield, etc.
- Meet with Director of Revenue Management on a regular basis
- Chair weekly revenue meetings (ensure conversation revolves around maximizing all revenues
- Convene and preside over meetings with departmental managers
- Conduct personnel training (ie: Front Desk revenue management training, etc.)
- Ensure hotel management and key Team Members are competent in all revenue management systems
- Travel regularly to each property and embed a revenue management culture
- Produce and review revenue reports and data for management as needed
- Monitor and validate group pickup and pricing is appropriate
- Work with sales team to ensure that corporate rates are priced appropriate
- Work with sales team and operations to fill low demand dates
- Build room and rate packages as requested
- Create forecasts to help with strategic planning such as budgeting and scheduling
- Manage discounts at all properties to ensure we are maximizing revenue at all times
- Manage blackout dates for all properties (i.e. reward nights, employee rates, owner card rates, etc.
- Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution
- Stay up to date on all industry, brand, and market trends
- Analyze monthly performance at each property with recommendations to improve long term strategies
- Learn brand standards and philosophies on revenue management
- Provide reports and other support material for executive use
- Earn and maintain Brand RM certifications from all managed brands
- Follow all Suburban Inns processes
- Undertake special projects requested by the Company Officers
Position Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. Basic Excel experience required. Requires typing, record keeping, and/or word processing. Good communication skills
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of an Associate’s degree or equivalent related experience. At least one year of Hotel General Manager experience is required, two years of Hotel General Manager experience is preferred. Experience in Hotel Sales, Banquet Sales, Hotel Management, Hotel Revenue Manager is preferred. Understanding of macro and micro economics preferred. This position requires maintenance and accuracy of detailed data and system configurations
License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Revenue Manager school through Marriott, IHG, and Hilton, may be completed upon hire. Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Excellent driving record, valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain brand specific Revenue Management certifications for all managed hotels within the brand standard rules, regulations and timeline.
Work Schedule: Work regularly requires or varies between day, evening, night, holiday, or weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs.
Required Travel: Position does require travel to Suburban Inns properties and/or client locations.
