As a Product Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in designing and onboarding advanced computer systems into production while delivering hardware and software support to our clients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team-including sales engineers, mechanical & regulatory engineers, systems verification engineers, and manufacturing engineering. You will help drive the development and deployment of next-generation edge AI, appliance, and embedded system solutions. Your efforts will directly impact key industry verticals such as transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, security, flight simulation, and media / live events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales Engineering team to design and specify hardware and software platforms.
- Manage the revision control of product and Bill of Materials throughout the product's lifecycle.
- Participate in the launch of new products, ensuring successful delivery to customers.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, and software compatibility issues in coordination with customers and vendors.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, including performance evaluations and benchmark testing.
- Monitor vendor end-of-life (EOL) notices and engineering change notifications (ECNs), initiating actions to ensure uninterrupted production of your products.
- Create and deliver quotations and statements of work with the account management team.
- Respond to and resolve advanced customer technical inquiries in a timely manner.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other Product Engineers to support team development.
- Support production teams by addressing technical challenges and ensuring smooth operations.
- Undertake assigned product management responsibilities, contributing to product strategy and execution.
