As a Data Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining our data stack with data operations(dba) and data applications on the Azure and Legacy platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure handling of data, optimizing data pipelines, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes.
Our hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days in our Chicago office and 2 remote days.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers.
- Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Oversee the implementation of data solutions using Azure services in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI Reporting
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and enforce best practices for data management and governance.
- Monitor and optimize data systems for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Azure data engineering.
- On call Process Management and escalations for solving incidents with on time delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineering Manager or similar role.
- Experience with Architecture, Drawing data flow diagrams and process flows.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with transactional data and data warehousing solutions.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Azure Data Engineer certification.
- Experience with Unix systems and scripting with Azure languages like Power Shell etc
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
Salary Range: $146,960 - $220,440
