What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Service Tech (Sunday -Wednesday) position at AHS - Sherman Medical Center?
JOB SUMMARY : The Facilities Service Tech performs daily work routines to ensure safety and comfort of guests, patients and employees. The major job duties would include the service and maintenance of major mechanical systems, steam pipeline repairs and maintenance of boiler and chiller.
This position will work 10 hours on Saturday / Sunday and 8 hours on Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1.High School Diploma or GED.
2.Must have experience in one or more building trades.
3.Minimum of at least 5 years experience in building maintenance environment preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Unstop sinks / commodes, etc.
2.Repair / replace p-traps, faucets, flush valves, etc.
3.Repair / replace minor electrical items.
4.Repair / Replace pumps, motors etc.
5.Keep all tools clean and in working condition.
6.Maintain preventative maintenance program on kitchen equipment, med gases, and fire doors.
7.Report any problems in areas observed or informed of.
8.Performs other duties as directed by supervisor / director.
9.Performs fire brigade duties according to policy.
10.Performs any type of routine maintenance.
11.Applies ice melt and helps keep walks clear of ice.
12.Maintains regular attendance.
13. Performs other duties as required.
