Server Engineer (SME)

Short Description: 11-15 years of experience. Subject Matter Expert on system engineering architecture and advanced support, including Windows server, Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Unified communications, and advanced Microsoft windows system engineering.

Client is looking for a qualified server engineer with experience designing, deploying and maintaining a scalable and reliable IT infrastructure leveraging both on premise and cloud-based Microsoft Technologies. 

·         Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.

·         Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products. This is a professional position which may require subject matter expertise consistent with demanding and rare technological skills.

·         May require coordination of programming activities being conducted by the application development team.

·         Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing and project design.

·         Works with necessary Client and Client personnel to maintain a scalable, reliable infrastructure including cloud and premise-based systems including servers and a variety of endpoints

·         Leverages excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by business and technical stakeholders.

·         Mentors' junior engineers to increase knowledge of Microsoft based products

·         Configures and supports devops infrastructure

·         Proven track record of hands-on technical design and code work within large complex systems.

·         Proven hands-on technical work with a variety of technologies.

·         Demonstrated technical expertise integrating a variety of diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies.

·         Delivers support for SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS infrastructure

·         Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.

·         Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.

·         May function as a niche technical SME (Subject Matter Expert).

·         Has proven experience across large and complex implementations and systems.

 

Associates degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience desired

 

·         11-15 yrs. conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. Required 11 Years

·         11-15 yrs. preparing complex technical documentation. Required 11 Years

·         Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience. Nice to have

·         Cayosoft Expert User. Required 5 Years

·         VMware Vsphere. Required 12 Years

·         Microsoft 365. required 12 Years

·         Server 2022. Required 3 Years

·         Azure. Required 12 Years

·         Azure VMware service offering. Required 3 Years

·         AWS. Required 12 Years
