About the Job:
We are looking for a seasoned expert to join our team at AI Engineers, Inc. as a Railroad Construction Inspector for Metro-North's station renewal project in Naugatuck, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction sites to guarantee compliance with project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Supervise construction activities, including track work, structural enhancements, and ADA compliance updates.
- Analyze contractor work, create daily reports, and document construction progress.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and transit officials.
- Evaluate work quality and conformity to Metro-North standards.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in railroad station platform reconstruction, preferably with Metro-North or similar commuter rail projects.
- Thorough understanding of railroad construction practices, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Awareness of MTA, Metro-North, or other transit agency standards.
- Able to work in a field environment, conduct site inspections, and ensure construction compliance.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Pertinent certifications in railroad construction inspection (desired).
