Bridge Inspection, Evaluation, Analysis, and Design is the core expertise of the firm, earning a national reputation for serving DOT’s / bridge owners on major projects in over 20 states throughout the U.S. Since 2016, the company has embarked on the adaptation of New Technology in inspecting, evaluating, and designing bridges. This includes Drone Inspections, laser scanning and point-cloud mapping of large, complex structures, and the procurement and installation of sophisticated wireless (5G) bridge movement and monitoring devices. Armed with this tech, we are enabling our bridge engineers to perform their work at the highest level.

Job Description: Director of Finance

AI Engineers is seeking a dynamic process-oriented individual to oversee AP/AR, Cashflow, Forecasting, M&A, and ERP/Finance Systems. This position reports jointly to the CEO and executive leadership team. Great opportunity for future upward mobility in a growing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Oversee A/P and A/R department operations and staff
• Work closely with project managers and department leaders to ensure accountability in timeliness of client invoicing and collections
• Cashflow management
• BF&O management
• Forecasting and reporting for senior leadership on growth, revenue, profit, and loss
• Oversee accounting activities to validate controls and systems for A/P, fixed assets, expense allocations to profit centers, equity accounting, intercompany accounting, produce external annual GAAP financial statements subject to CPA firm audit
• Executive compensation and stock plan administration, 401k, ESOP, and Form-5500 benefit plan filings and audits
• Acquisition due diligence and integration activities in partnership with CEO
• Liaison and relationship manager for law firms, CPA firms, insurance & benefit advisors, and TPAs
• Work to optimize capability of the ERP system (Deltek/Ajera) and facilitate ongoing training to increase use and efficiency
• Co-manage treasury and banking operations
• Internal financial consultant to executive staff
• Propose and drive finance department policy and value-creation initiatives
• Promote an internal control environment consistent with the COSO Internal Control Framework

REQUIREMENTS:

• Corporate accounting / finance professional with a minimum of 7 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
• Strong preference for prior experience with or understanding of accounting requirements in the AEC (architecture/engineering/construction) consulting industry
• CPA is desirable, but not required.
• Must have strong systems, processes, and controls underpinning.
• Tech-savvy.
• Conversant in corporate and personal tax matters.
• Required to understand and support the company’s non-hierarchical agile management style.
