Position Overview:
We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our team at the Ormet facility in San Diego. This role involves a blend of technical support, product development, customer interaction, and sales activities, focusing on expanding our reach and implementing our advanced material solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize applications for our advanced materials in collaboration with R&D and production teams.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
- Conduct application testing and validation to ensure product compliance with customer requirements.
- Participate in product design reviews and recommend improvements based on application needs.
- Create detailed documentation, including application notes, product specifications, and training materials.
- Engage with customers to assess their needs and develop custom solutions.
- Conduct sales visits, deliver presentations, and represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related fields).
- 1 years of experience in an application engineering role, preferably in the electronics or materials science industries, with a proven track record in technical sales or business development.
- Strong understanding of material properties and their applications in electronics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to support customer needs and business development activities.
