Period End Accounting Systems

Prepare financial reports and monthly financial statements

Execute daily / monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for high risk accounts

Participate in external year end audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger account documentation and compiling information requested by auditors
General Ledger Maintenance
-
Compute, classify and record numerical data to keep financial records accurate complete and in conformance to reporting and procedural standards

Examine and verify the accuracy of postings to G/L accounts
-
Utilize G/L data to identify areas for cost improvements
Sales Tax / Order Collection Reports (OCR) / Sales Affiliate Collection Reports (SACR)
-
Files all necessary sales tax returns and remit sales tax liabilities within the tax due dates

Serves as Finance oversight and escalation point for any sales tax, OCR or SACR issues
Project and Ad Hoc support

Lead project streams related to finance as a subject matter expert to achieve company goals
-
Provide financial organization support being visible through education and finance task execution
Year End Audit

Lead Core Accounting Team in compiling information requested by audits as part of the external year end audit

Assist Controller in review of complex accounting transactions to ensure adherence to GAAP
Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor degree in Accounting. Additional education or training in information systems is a plus.

3-5 years of general accounting experience.
-
Previous sales tax experience preferred.

Experience with multi-state sales tax analysis and reporting.

Intermediate / advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
