As an important contributor to Talbot U.S., you will help grow the business (the portfolio, the team, and individually), be able to handle not only your direct underwriting responsibilities but also support the team on an as-needed basis (projects, information requests, and other). Your hands-on underwriting duties will directly influence how our business performs. As an Underwriter, you will adhere to granted authority and guidelines, while continually seeking improvement. You are generally considered to be available for any day-to-day questions about certain accounts, clients, or miscellaneous information requests about the portfolio. Because of your execution, we are able to direct our most important clients to you, trusting you can get the job done.

- An Underwriter will demonstrate technical analysis and strong underwriting acumen combined with marketing and sales skills
- This position will be an important contributor to the portfolio, represent the Company and team strongly in the market, and continuously strive for strong underwriting execution for Talbot U.S.
- This individual will build strong broker relationships and begin to establish a profitable sub-set of the business
- Candidates are expected to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate an increasing ability to work independently to underwrite new and renewal
