This position is located at 350 W. Church Street, Elmira NY.
Position Snapshot: The Fiscal Intermediary (FI) Specialist provides support to staff and individuals with developmental disabilities with their self-direct individualized budget. The goal is to ensure people with disabilities have the opportunity to direct their supports while maintaining and improving their quality of life in their homes and their community.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a caseload of individuals while adhering to OPWDD program ADMs and policies. Help the consumer manage their self-hire staff.
- Support consumer onboarding and budget launch.
- Review program expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Maintain expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program specification for various programs available through OPWDD.
Candidate Requirements need to include:
- Associate’s Degree in Human Services or Social Work with 3 years of applicable experience, or
- Any combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to perform the essential functions of this position to the satisfaction of AIM’s executive director
- Dependable vehicle and acceptable driving record.
