What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Land Surveying position at Aimic Inc?
We are looking for a Director of Land Surveying for our growing land surveying practice
Responsibilities:
- Prepare survey mapping (boundary/topographic surveys, easements, subdivision plans, etc.).
- Perform boundary computations and land record research.
- Supervise and schedule field crews.
- Import/process field data and create topographic maps using TIN surfaces.
- Serve as a crew chief as needed.
- Train staff in surveying methods and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Land Surveyor (MA, CT, or RI preferred).
- Associate’s degree in Land Surveying (Bachelor’s a plus).
- 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D (4 years minimum).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and client coordination skills.
- Understanding of field survey methods and procedures.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and on challenging terrain.
- Experience with digital surface models for GPS/site design a plus.
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
