Esri ArcGIS End User Support Specialist
Location: Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT)
Employment Type: Contract (Annual Renewal Possible)
Overview
GDOT seeks an Esri ArcGIS Support Specialist to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for ArcGIS users. The role covers ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro), Enterprise GIS apps, cloud (ArcGIS Online, SiteScan), and mobile GIS (Field Maps).
Responsibilities
Serve as Tier 1 GIS support, resolving/escalating issues
Assist users with ArcGIS troubleshooting, training, and best practices
Maintain virtual GIS environments and enterprise GIS applications
Develop GDOT GIS User Group and training programs
Support GIS upgrades, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in GIS, Geography, or related field
3 years of Esri ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap/Pro) experience
Strong customer service & communication skills
GIS certifications (Esri, URISA GISP) preferred
Experience with ArcGIS Online, mobile GIS, and geodatabases preferred
Work Conditions
Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 9:00 AM start)
Hybrid work preferred (Local candidates prioritized)
Contract through GDOT fiscal year (June 30), renewal possible
State travel policy applies, but parking is not covered
No extended leave (over 1 week) in the first year
Salary : $24
