What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Project Manager/Estimator position at Aimic Inc?
Looking for experience in steel fabrication and estimating preferably but will consider all similar construction trades. Seeking someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and looking for long-term career path.
Responsibilities
- Prepare steel take-offs from engineer designed drawings.
- Compile material take-offs, subs, and purchases into estimates to present to customers.
- Effectively communicate with clients to deliver estimates in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with customers to communicate and meet deliver schedules.
- Keep updated schedules of future work and current status of work in progress.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the steel fabrication process to include material processing, fitting, welding, equipment operation and CNC equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate technical drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

- Structural Material Manager
- Autocad is a plus but not mandatory
