Position: Transportation Technician 3
Location: 7500 Volkswagen Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37416
Pay: $18/hour | Shift: Evening | Hours/Day: 10 | Time Zone: EST
Contract: 3 months (30 90 days, possible extension based on performance)
Schedule:
- Wed: 4:30 PM 12:00 AM
- Thu Sat: 2:00 PM 12:00 AM
- Sun Tue: Off
Overview:
Advanced-level role monitoring traffic systems and incidents to ensure safe and efficient roadway operations. Requires minimal supervision and use of various traffic software and communication systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor traffic via cameras and software
- Respond to incidents and update systems
- Communicate with highway patrol and service patrols
- Dispatch and assist patrol teams
- Enter and manage incident data
- Use SOG for incident response and documentation
Preferred: Dispatch or call center experience
Skills & Tools:
- Microsoft Access, Word, Excel
- Data entry, emailing, printing, copying
- Customer service and communication
- Typing, technical skills (TMC/traffic systems)
