Job Description:

The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environment and has the skill sets necessary to be successful in this position.Equipment Room Associates oversee all operations within the recreation center equipment room. This will include, but is not limited to: proper equipment distribution and collection processes, routine and preventative maintenance of all equipment stored within the equipment room, performing laundry services as needed.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of all Physical Education & Recreation Department equipment.
- Provide quality customer service to facility users and instructors.
- Responsible for distribution and collection of equipment to facility patrons.
- Responsible for the organization of equipment storage areas
- Monitor locker rooms for cleanliness and supplies.
- Perform laundry operations
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure the cleanliness of all equipment
- Ensure all Physical Education and Recreation equipment meets safety standards and is in operable working condition
- Communicate with the Physical Education and Recreation administrators about any suspicious activities and facility safety or maintenance issues that may arise
- Assist with external event equipment requests and special event equipment requests.
- Able to attend in-house meetings and training sessions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate; college experience preferred.
- Skilled professional communication etiquette.
- Great interpersonal skills
- Hold a valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification. CPR/First Aid/AED classes are offered to staff at no expense
- Physical effort required, including but not limited to: lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking.
- A pre-employment post offer physical exam will be required of the selected candidate
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years with customer service experience.
- Possess effective decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
