Minimum Hourly Rate:

$17.29

Job Description:

The Part-Time: Grounds Maintenance, Equipment Operator (Seasonal) ensures the physical aspects of Aims Community College campuses are maintained and standards are met regarding the grounds and overall curb appeal of the Aims Community College Campuses. This role includes the dedicated assignment of mowing operations. Aims relies on this position to follow safety protocols, while being responsive, thorough, and a resourceful self-starter with a customer focused mindset.

Job Duties:

  • Ability to safely operate riding mower equipment up to 6' wide.

  • Ability to clean and maintain mowing equipment.

  • Ability to see and maneuver around obstacles in the path of travel during mowing operations.

  • Perform other mowing duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of general work experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

  • This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take both written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to operate hand held tools and pressure washing equipment.

  • Ability to safety operate power equipment, such as high-pressure washers and hand blower.

  • Ability to safely operate 3' - 6' wide riding rotary mowing units, used for mowing small campus areas, and small streetscapes.
