Job Description:

The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environment and has the skill sets necessary to be successful in this position.Delivers specialized, customized corporate training on high-tech and older equipment used in various industries while fostering a positive learning environment, and maintaining professional relationships with business leaders and staff.
Job Duties:
Provide specialized customized corporate training on current high tech, and aged equipment that may include, but are not limited to the following topics: Manufacturing Technology and Processes, Programmable Logic Controllers, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, AC/DC Electric, Welding, Electric Motor Control, Precision Gauging.
Assist in developing quality relationships with business, industry, and community members.
Develop and deliver technical, hands-on training using industry equipment.
Customize and create course materials and class materials/presentations to meet the specific company needs.
Meet with business representatives to identify specific training needs and types of equipment used.
Incorporate business processes into the customization of courses to meet the needs of the companies.
Create a customized instrument/process to conduct pre-and post-assessment or skill mastery for individuals trained.
Foster a learning environment that encompasses adult learning styles.
Employ teaching strategies and technologies relevant to the industry.
Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with business leaders, staff, and employees.
Represent Aims Community College with a genuine spirit of cooperation and flexibility.
Participate in discussions and meetings with the business partner and Aims Community College staff to determine best practices for course customization.
Communicate regularly with the business contact and Aims Community College staff regarding training issues and/or challenges.
Submit required time-sensitive, and accurate paperwork, which may include, but is not limited to: Attendance Record, Time-sheet, Mileage Report, Curriculum, Assessment tools.
Work Hours:
No guarantee of immediate hours or weekly hours upon hire. Hours are on an as-needed basis
Minimum Qualifications:
Five years’ experience in subject matter and/or industry.
Must be self-directed and motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year degree or relevant certification in area of expertise.
Two years instruction in the area of expertise.

Salary : $58
