POSITION OVERVIEW

Ain Dah Yung Center is looking for a full time The Street Outreach Case Manager who will work in conjunction with the collaborative- "StreetWorks," through conducting Street-based outreach to homeless youth. Focus will be on building strong networks to provide longer term Case Management to youth with a focus on Shelter, housing, and cultural connections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position will be responsible for coordinated entry
Street Outreach Case Manager will be required to attend all Agency and Street Outreach meetings / trainings
Street outreach shifts will include some late nights and weekends
HMIS data entry for Outreach and Case Management clients

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, child development, elementary / secondary education or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of.

Able to pass DHS Netstudy 2.0 and Motor Vehicle Record check.

At least two years of experience working with youth in an educational or human service or homeless youth nonprofit setting.

Must have experience working with at-risk populations and the ability to work constructively with youth who exhibit a wide array of challenging behaviors.

Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma informed care and positive youth development is preferred.

Must be 21-year-old, have valid MN Driver's License and auto insurance, and pass DHS Background Check.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Travel between sites and other business-related destinations.

Learn technical information for assessment, testing, reporting, and evaluating, including the administering of housing assessments.

Communicate effectively with high-risk populations and community partners.

Standing, Walking, stooping, bending, walking stairs, and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computer, phones, and writing utensils

Occasional exposure to high-risk situations.
