A fast-growing litigation and trial firm is seeking a thoughtful and detail-oriented Hybrid Intake Attorney to join its plaintiff-side employment practice. This full-time role is focused on evaluating potential employment claims and guiding prospective clients through the intake process. The ideal candidate has strong legal analysis skills, empathy in client communication, and a solid understanding of state and federal employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth interviews with prospective clients to assess potential employment law claims
- Analyze legal issues involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and wrongful termination
- Apply relevant laws such as Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and state-specific labor codes to evaluate case viability
- Prepare internal case summaries highlighting facts, issues, and legal theories for the litigation team
- Clearly communicate next steps and legal rights to potential clients in an accessible and supportive manner
- Collaborate with intake staff to ensure consistent follow-up, documentation, and client experience
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and empathy while managing a high volume of intake calls and inquiries
- Refer non-qualifying matters appropriately, either internally or externally
What We’re Looking For:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
- 1–3 years of experience in employment law or plaintiff-side litigation preferred
- Strong legal research and issue-spotting abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly when explaining legal concepts to non-lawyers
- Client-first mindset and ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative, mission-driven team
