Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Golf Course Operations Assistant to join our team at Air Combat Command. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating and maintaining the golf course pro shop, driving range, and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of the golf course pro shop, driving range, and other facilities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, including recommending golf equipment and merchandise.
- Schedule tee times, golf clinics, lessons, and tournaments.
- Assist with the sale of pro-shop merchandise, process patron special orders, and demonstrate equipment usage.
- Ensure all sales, fees, and charges are accurately processed and maintained.
- Maintain the pro shop in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
- Ensure only authorized patrons use the golf course and facilities.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in golf course operations, including knowledge of golf rules, equipment sales and repair, and tournament organization.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must have experience in handling cash and using cash accountability control methods.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patrons and staff.
- Must possess basic supply techniques and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions: This is a flexible, intermittent position with no guaranteed hours. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Eaglewood Golf Course at Langley Air Force Base, VA.
