Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Technician at SentraCam, you will be responsible for performing a variety of hands-on tasks related to assembling electronics, wiring, metalworking, and applying vinyl. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly: Assemble electronic components inside small enclosures with precision, following both verbal and written instructions.
- Wiring: Learn and perform wiring connections as per specifications.
- Metalworking: Learn to safely drill, cut, and work with metal, using appropriate tools and safety equipment.
- Vinyl Application: Apply vinyl to products as needed.
- Adaptability: Perform various tasks and adjust to changing workflows as required.
- Self-Sufficiency: Maintain a steady pace of work without the need for constant supervision.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and repair minor issues following training.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure the quality and accuracy of all work, with a strong focus on detail.
- Communication: Proactively communicate needs, concerns, and progress with supervisors and team members.
- Tool Usage: Use both hand and power tools to complete tasks after receiving proper training.
- Physical Requirements: Lift and handle materials weighing up to 45-50 lbs as needed.
- Work Environment: Maintain an organized and clean work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Computer Skills: Follow digital instructions and manage tasks using basic computer systems.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow instructions clearly and precisely, both verbal and written.
- Fine motor skills and good dexterity for working with small components.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred but not required.
