What are the responsibilities and job description for the RF Installer position at Air Comm?
RF Installer:
Air Comm is a well-established two-way radio and wireless communications service provider in the Southwest US area. We are expanding in the Houston, TX and Phoenix, AZ areas and are looking for an experienced RF Installer to join our Team. We need an RF Installer to install two-way radio equipment into the vehicles, mobile equipment, and buildings of our customers. This would include pulling cable and mounting equipment for BDA/DAS systems. This position lends itself to a detail oriented and hands on type person such as someone who has installed GPS systems, stereos or mobile electronics, or folks who have significant experience working around vehicles. We install and maintain several different manufacturer's equipment, but focus primarily on Motorola Solutions' MOTOTRBO. The RF world is highly niche and Motorola Solutions commands a significant portion of the market. Our customers are primarily commercial and industrial facilities who use radios for logistics and safety.

- Handy - you must be able to install equipment in buildings, vehicles, and sometimes heavy equipment or be willing to learn.

- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to pass background check, and driving record check, TWIC badging.
- Ability to work overtime (flexible start/end times, be on call).

Relevant Job Skills (NOTE: Each tech is different, we are looking for techs who want to learn as many of the below skills as possible):
- Install Distributed Antennas Systems/DAS and Bi Directional Amplifier/BDA systems.
- Install/deploy radios and communication equipment in vehicles, buildings, and heavy equipment.
- Install fixed and mobile cameras.
- Pull indoor and outdoor network and RF cabling.
- Terminate different types of network, RF, and electrical cabling.
- Install and repair fixed and mobile video surveillance camera systems.
- Troubleshoot basic DC electrical issues in fixed, mobile, and handheld equipment.
- Travel to remote locations to provide our customers with the above services.
