Continuous Improvement Manager

Eastern Sheet Metal, and Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. Subsidiary, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to lead and drive process optimization and operational excellence at our Eastern Sheet Metal plant in Geneva, AL. The CI Manager will be responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, spearheading process improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the facility. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a passion for driving measurable results.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and tools, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Just-In-Time (JIT) practices, to optimize production processes and eliminate waste.
• Oversee the development and execution of process improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement sustainable solutions.
• Manage the transfer and implementation of new production lines and processes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source and integrate machinery and equipment for new processes.
• Drive the design and development of ergonomic workstations to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Lead the execution of production projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Provide mentorship and training to employees to build a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Leverage expertise in the metal-mechanic industry, including stamping, rollers, and lathes, to develop innovative solutions.
• Utilize AutoCAD to support project planning and process layout design.
• Apply strong analytical and decision-making skills to address process challenges and ensure optimal performance.
• Foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and cultivate a positive team-oriented environment.

What We Look For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electronic, Electromechanical, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and project implementation within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in the metal-mechanic industry, with knowledge of stamping, rollers, and lathes.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies, including VSM and JIT.
• Skilled in AutoCAD for process and workstation design.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing change initiatives.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
