What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance/Continuous Improvement Manager position at Dunbarton Corporation?
Position Summary:
Develop and administer policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components, and/or manufacturing processes. Accountable for the creation and successful execution and management of the Quality Management System across the organization. Possess a passion for quality. Demonstrate capability of employing effective strategic and tactical initiatives that assure the highest product and process quality while driving continual improvement across the organization which results in high customer satisfaction and efficient operational execution.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks :
· Own and drive continuous improvement in Quality Management processes that support customer requirements, business needs and the execution of company goals.
· Develop measurable Quality improvement plans and data analytics to show, track and trend results.
· Develop and drive key performance metrics that continually improve quality in products and processes.
· Lead preventive and corrective actions to remediate quality issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to continually improve quality.
· Utilize APQP activities to provide product quality and reliability throughout development and production ensuring our products meet customer expectations and company quality standards.
· Make recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields.
· Utilize RCCA and problem-solving methodologies to develop recommendations to close quality gaps.
· Assist in implementing the company’s quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, contract documents, etc. required to perform work.
· Ensure employees follow established procedures.
· Interact with all employees to actively promote execution of quality processes and standards.
· Lead, direct and develop others with effective leadership skills that promote transparency, urgency and extreme ownership mindset.
· Ensure company standards are documented in the Quality Control manual.
Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma
· Five (5) years of experience in quality assurance management.
· Ability to analyze processes using RCCA and develop recommendations for improvement.Quality
Preferred Education and Experience:
· BA/BS degree.
· Six Sigma experience.
· ISO 9000 & QS 9000 implementation and management certification.
· ASQ certifications
· Project management experience and PMP certification.
· Experience in a management/supervisory position.
