PennBarry, an Air Distribution Technology, Inc. subsidiary, is seeking a Project Engineer III. PennBarry offers a wide variety of commercial ventilators and blowers for the commercial construction industry. The Project Engineer will play a key role in managing and supporting new product development, customization, and improvement projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Project Engineer will ensure that project goals, timelines, and deliverables align with PennBarry's standards of excellence and customer requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, designs, and documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects or modifications to existing products.
- Provide technical support and expertise to resolve engineering challenges.
- Assist in the development and launch of new products, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, sales, and customer teams to ensure clear understanding of project requirements.
- Present technical concepts and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory standards, industry codes, and company quality guidelines.
- Support testing and validation processes for product designs and prototypes.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- 4 years of experience in engineering, project management, or product development, preferably in commercial/ industrial fan or industrial machinery manufacturing
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of ventilation systems, airflow dynamics, and ventilation technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Up to 25% or less travel may be required.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HVAC industry standards (e.g., AMCA, AHRI, ASHRAE) is a plus.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and design for manufacturability.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and product lifecycle management tools
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration.
