Duties
Exercise considerable independence in performing recruitment and placement tasks involved in filing a variety of lower-grade clerical, administrative, technician and semi-skilled wage grade positions.
Prepares correspondence, memoranda, and one-time reports on a variety of recruitment placement activities such as strength figures, vacancy reports, and status reports, based upon data gleaned from official files and automated records,.
Maintain systems for and assists specialists in determining if DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP), local priority placement program and other special hiring programs, such as military spouse priority program and programs having special hiring authorities (e.g., Student Temporary Employment Program and Student Educational Employment Program) are appropriate in filling vacant positions.
Participate with higher-graded employees in composing handouts and training materials for New Employee Orientation sessions and training programs.
Use word-processing software to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print forms, memos, and letters; use existing database or spreadsheet software to create, enter, revise, sort or calculate, and retrieve data for reports; and use graphic software to provide graphs and charts for reports and presentations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Group Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience gained while providing support conducting recruitment and placement functions such as reviewing job requirements in order to identify appropriate recruitment sources; applying specified factors to determine minimum eligibility and rank order applicants on registers; coordinating external recruitment efforts and providing staffing clerical and assistant support and process personnel actions.
AND
A qualified typist of 40 words per minute is required.

EDUCATION: One full year of graduate education in a field related to the position being filled. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS FOR VERIFICATION OF YOUR COURSEWORK IF QUALIFYING BASED ON EDUCATION.
