As a Senior Salesforce Developer in the Digital Transformation Activity (DTA), you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce solutions. You will lead architecture reviews, provide guidance to junior developers, and oversee contractor builds. With a strong emphasis on out-of-the-box Salesforce solutions, your role will ensure that we deliver effective, low-maintenance, and scalable systems that align with the unique needs of government agencies, non-profits, and other public entities.
Your Development Oversight Includes
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior developers, helping them develop their Salesforce skills and understand the unique requirements of the public sector.
- Oversee the work of contractors to ensure that Salesforce solutions meet high-quality standards, follow best practices, and are tailored to meet public sector compliance and performance requirements.
- Conduct code reviews, focusing on security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions, with an emphasis on minimizing custom development.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Secret” Security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Professional knowledge of Cloud IT and computer engineering and configuration, systems hardware design and software application development.
- Knowledge of computer engineering, systems/programs, systems architectures, facilities, hardware, software, cloud computing, policies, concepts, practices, and methodology found both in the Federal government and private industry. Must possess knowledge of, and practical application skills in, major computer operating systems, and networked equipment operating systems.
- Extensive knowledge of agency, AF, Department of Defense (DoD), and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to systems design, the acquisition lifecycle, and rapid acquisition sufficient to ensure the implementation of balanced approaches regarding cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
- Comprehensive skills in applying systems engineering and enterprise architecture principles, standards, and methods and in utilizing associated technologies and tools to define and execute standards and artifacts for HR information systems.
- Skill in effectively organize and analyze information; produce authoritative reports, position papers, and briefings that are responsive to the specific needs of commanders and senior management officials; present clear and concise findings; and effectively advocate for joint and coalition information sharing specific positions.
- Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role. A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position.
- Expertise in Salesforce out-of-the-box solutions such as Public Sector Solutions and Government Cloud.
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other core Salesforce development technologies.
- Knowledge of Salesforce integrations, including APIs (REST/SOAP), and data management practices within the context of government/public sector systems.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security and compliance requirements, particularly as they relate to public sector data protection and regulations.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Salesforce Certified Application Architect. Familiarity with government regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, Section 508) and how Salesforce can help meet these standards.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Experience and transitioning legacy systems to Lightning for public sector clients.
- Additional Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator. You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
