The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 2nd level (or higher) supervisory and managerial authorities over the 404 SCMS/GUMAA Section. Directs work activities through subordinate supervisors/leads with responsibility for providing advice, accountability, and expertise to higher management and/or senior leadership on a continuous basis. Exercises control over the organizational Section by providing direction, planning, and leadership for assigned subordinate personnel. MISSION STATEMENT: Mission Statement - Plans, directs and manages the activities of the Equipment Supply Chain for Automatic Test Systems (ATS), Automatic Test Equipment, Armament Test Equipment, Vehicles, Small Arms, Mobility and Base Support. Provides end item life cycle support to include developing enterprise demand/supply plans, developing/implementing sourcing strategies, and executing the supply plan to meet customer requirements. Provides organic and contract repair production management support for all programs managed in the flight (GUMAA and GUMMB). MAJOR DUTIES:

• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinate supervisors/leads, sets and adjusts short and long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Ensures that subordinate supervisors/leads have effective interpersonal, communication, and managerial skills to super-vise in a workplace with diverse employees.
• Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Evaluates requirements for additional resources, and balances organization needs with overall mission requirements and resource interests.
• Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency.
• Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. • Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours, to include evenings and weekends, and may be subject to recall. • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
• Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
